THE WORLD

The Perfect Paradox

This world is a near-perfect reflection of Earth, but stripped of its scarcity. Resources are unlimited. Energy is infinite. The atmosphere is rich with Mana (or "Aether"), a tangible energy source that powers technology and magic alike.

"In a world where no one starves, hunger changes shape. People no longer hunger for bread; they hunger for power, chaos, and the forbidden."

?! Societal Flaws: The Orphan Paradox

If resources are unlimited, why do orphans (like Sydney) exist? The answer lies in the apathy of abundance.

  • Hedonistic Fugue: Some Natives become so lost in pleasure, magic, or Outsider vices that they simply abandon their families to chase eternal highs.
  • Magical Volatility: Accidents involving high-level Mana or Outsider conflicts often leave children behind as collateral damage.

Result: The Government provides for orphans physically (food/shelter), but not emotionally. This creates a generation of "Lost Children" who are easily recruited by Factions like The Church or The Mafia that offer them a purpose.

>> Demographics: The Dual Populace

Natives

Those born and grown within this world. They are the literal children of this "Perfect" reality, accustomed to the abundance of mana and resources from birth.

Outsiders

Individuals originating from outside dimensions or alternate realities. They arrive for various reasons: some come seeking hope, some with devious intent, and others simply drift here by accident.

Theology: The Fractured Pantheon

There is no unified religion. Instead, factions worship "The Gods," powerful entities embodying primordial concepts. Some of these "Gods" are actually high-level Outsiders who have attained divinity.

Case Study: The Church

Follows a remixed Christianity. They do not worship "Jesus" by name, but the concept of a martyr who gathered 12 apostles. The theology is warped, yet effective, granting Executors holy power.

Case Study: Satanism

Satanism exists and causes frequent trouble. Example: A Devil Outsider who just wants to live quietly receives "Sacrifices" from a fanatic neighbor. The Outsider hates it, but the neighbor insists.

Factional Dynamics

The Purists

Factions that view Outsiders as invasive threats. They engage in extreme behavior, hunting down foreigners.

Chaos Seekers

Groups that disrupt peace for entertainment. In a world of infinite resources, destruction is the only thrill left.

The United Fronts

Natives and Outsiders who unite to overcome their differences for a shared purpose.
